Systems Engineering
Building automation systems are characterized by a structure of two hierarchical levels. At the first level, an automation system is built which undertakes the interconnection with electromechanical devices at a low electrical level, as well as the implementation of the control algorithms, for the systems required (lighting, ventilation, etc.). The automation system is implemented with a decentralized and distributed control network. On the second level, the Supervisory Control system is built. This system has multiple roles. First, it serves as an interface between the control center operator and the automation system. Secondly, parts of this system are used to interconnect individual systems through higher communication protocols. Finally, it serves as a recorder of the incidents of the E/M installation. This system is implemented based on SCADA software.
